BY MY HAND, AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF AND ACTING AS PROXY FOR THE SOVEREIGN, QUEEN OF MANTICORE ELIZABETH III, IN RECOGNITION OF THEIR LOYAL AND EXTRAORDINARY SERVICE TO THEIR SHIP, THEIR FLEET, AND THE STAR KINGDOM DURING 2015, I HEREBY AWARD THE ROYAL MERITORIOUS UNIT CITATION WITH AN EFFECTIVE DATE OF 31 DECEMBER 2015 TO THE CREW OF HMS HECTOR (BC-548). THE CREW OF THE HMS HECTOR HAS TRIPLED IN SIZE IN 2015, DUE TO OUTSTANDING RECRUITING EFFORTS; FIVE MEMBERS OF HMS HECTOR WORK FOR BUTRAIN AND LEAD THE ROYAL MANITCORAN NAVY TRAINING EFFORTS; 65% OF THE CREW HAS PASSED AT LEAST THEIR FIRST TRMN ADVANCEMENT EXAM; AND AS A CREW THEY HAVE TAKEN IN EXCESS OF 315 TOTAL BUTRAIN EXAMS IN 2015; HMS HECTOR CREW MEMBERS SERVE ON THE STAFFS OF FIRST FLEET, THE JUDGE ADVOCATE GENERAL, AND BUCOMM; THEY WON THE FIRST FLEET READING CHALLENGE BY READING, AS A CREW, IN EXCESS OF 470,000 PAGES; THEY VOLUNTEERED AT AND PARTICIPATED IN TRMN PANELS AT FARPOINT, AWESOMECON, SHORE LEAVE, AND HONORCON; AND THEY DEMONSTRATED THE SAGANAMI ISLAND TACTICAL SIMULATOR AND OTHER BOARD GAMES FOR MARKSMANSHIP QUALIFICATIONS AT NUMEROUS SHIP AND FLEET EVENTS. FINALLY, THE CAPTAIN AND CREW OF HMS HECTOR ORGANIZED “RUN FOR THE CATS” AND ULTIMATELY DONATED MORE THAN $400 TO BIG CAT RESCUE.
